Cromwell reputedly stayed in our 16th century former coaching inn nestled in this pretty privately owned village.
Heydon is often used as a film location and stars of stage and screen have enjoyed our high quality menu and well kept ales,fine wines and ciders.
Our food is locally sourced and seasonal,our meats are outdoor reared just a few miles away and our fish is delivered daily from the coast.
"H" the horse racing mad landlord and chef is responsible for the "sport of kings" memorabilia that adorns every space. He part owns a racehorse and will gladly give you a tip,but we wouldnt suggest you put your shirt on it.
Our unique venue is perfect for parties,weddings or any special events.We can also quote for outside bars and catering.
